Being the largest of four ski resorts in the surrounding Summit County area, Copper Mountain boasts a multitude of outdoor activities to choose from. With just a quick 35-minute drive from Georgetown, Copper Mountain has easy access, terrain ranging from beginner to expert and everything in-between. If skiing isn't in the picture, Copper Mountain offers many other opportunities like snowshoeing, winter tubing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling.

One of the best things about this resort is that it is north-facing, so the snow stays longer throughout the spring. Its skiing is often overlooked compared to the other resorts on the I-70 corridor, which opens the mountain to less crowds, which won’t be a worry of the day.

After a day of skiing, one can walk into town to enjoy food and drinks at over 25 unique restaurants and bars. Among the numerous spots there is Eagle BBQ, El Zacatecano, and Mahi's Street Tacos being the most loved by locals. Most of the restaurants in Copper offer affordable prices with unique food and all different types of cuisine.

One of the more unique opportunities at night is the Moonlight Dine and Ski. For $120 on select nights during the season, you can take the snowcat up the mountain enjoy drinks and live music and end it by skiing down the mountain by moonlight and headlamp.

Copper Mountain has all the great combinations of every ski resort. With easy access, amazing food, and vibrant nightlife it is a perfect getaway even for a day trip. Being less crowded than most resorts, it is a great place to explore new activities and grasp everything the winter in Colorado has to offer.
